Bishop Harold Kern's Bio
After graduation from High School in Indiana, Pastor Harold Kern attended colleges in Stockton, CA and St. Louis, MO before assuming the pastorate of a small struggling church in Mendota, CA. After three and 1/2 years there and in Chowchilla, the Kern family moved to Washiington state to found a new church in the Belleve, WA area in 1973 which has since became Sanctuary of Praise.
In 2004 he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Northwest University of Kirkland, WA with a BA in Business Administration. After 43 years in the pastoral ministry, Pastor Kern has moved into the position of the Bishop of Sanctuary of Praise.
His wife of almost 43 years, Pamela Gail, succumbed to Ovarian Cancer in January of 2011. We honor her sacrifices and contributions to the establishment of Sanctuary of Praise. Her works, the saints, her children, and husband praise her and we miss her greatly.
